Biotin-PEG4-alkyne is a click chemistry biotinylation tool. This reagent allows the labeling of azide-containing molecules with biotin via copper-catalyzed click reaction. Biotin-labeled biomolecules can be bound to avidin or streptavidin for further purification and detection.

This structure of biotin alkyne features a long hydrophilic PEG4 linker that separates biotin residue from the target molecule for efficient binding with streptavidin. Its linker also enhances aqueous solubility to facilitate conjugation.
