We recommend sulfo-Cyanine7.5 alkyne as a substitute

sulfo-Cyanine5 alkyne NHS-ether is a water-soluble bifunctional cross-linker containing a red water-soluble sulfo-Cyanine5 dye core and two reactive groups of a terminal alkyne and NHS ester.

Activated NHS esters are reactive with primary and secondary amino groups, and they can be used to label amino groups in proteins, peptides, amino-modified oligonucleotides, and other target molecules. The terminal alkyne group is used for copper-catalyzed click chemistry (CuAAC) or Sonogashira coupling.
