This compound is a PEG-linker with four monomer units (PEG4) with terminal hydroxy and amino groups for biomolecule conjugation.

Primary amines readily react with activated carboxyl groups, and the terminal hydroxyl group in the crosslinker can react with esters, azides, amines, and halogen derivatives in various conditions.

Polyethylene glycol linkers have low molecular weight, are non-toxic, and form conjugates with increased solubility. The field of use of these molecules is rather wide, varying from synthesis of new polymers to biomedicine.
